Trends – Beer Pairing
Beer Pairing: an increasing trend in restaurants
Combining food and beer is increasing in popularity with foodies in Belgium and abroad. Silly’s craft beers make for an ideal aperitif and are a perfect companion with a meal – everyday or gastronomic. La Blanche de Silly, with its citrusy and yeasty aromas, goes exceptionally well with seafood, mussels, grilled or smoked fish and loves desserts made with fruit. Silly’s blond specialty beers (Abbaye de Forest, Double Enghien blonde, Enghien Noël) are ideal aperitif beers but also go perfectly well with salads, crudités, grilled white or red meats, semi-hard cheeses, goats’ cheeses and desserts made with fruit. Our amber beers (La Divine, Super 64, Saison Silly) are more aromatic and work wonders with foie gras, venison, a juicy stew, smoked fish, blue cheese and caramel desserts. Our brown beers (Scotch Silly, Double Enghien brune) feel at home with shellfish, Asian cuisine, red meat, cold smoked meats, venison and chocolate desserts. Our Pink Killer is a perfect aperitif as well as a great companion for your dessert. Our Silly Pils and Silly Pils bio go with simple pub meals: a steak tartare, a hamburger or even just a portion of great Belgian fries for example. Ride this wave in your own café or restaurant. Suggest dishes that are complemented by one of our Silly beers. Explain the unique taste experience to your customer. The Silly website now includes 19 recipes and more will be added soon. Feel free to use these recipes to compile your own menus and keep your customers happy and coming back for more.
